What You Need to Know

Steyn City School follows the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) assessment standards, with the education programme including a combination of international teaching materials and the South African CAPS curriculum. Our Grade 12 students write the IEB National Senior Certificate examination.

Our school day starts at 07h30 for the Preparatory School and the College, and at 08h00 for the Early Years Centre. Closing times follow.

  • Early Years Centre: 12h30 (Grades 000 & 00) and 13h00 (Grade 0)
  • Preparatory: 13h45 from Monday to Thursday and 13h40 on Friday
  • College: 14h30 from Monday to Thursday and 14h00 on Friday

Aftercare operates until 17h30 and is run in-house by our Aftercare Manager together with the teachers and teaching assistants our students already know and love.

Steyn City School follows the three term ISASA calendar for the Central Region.

Access control systems have been implemented for all perimeter entries and exits at the school. The policy regarding access to the Steyn City Parkland Residence via the William Nicol and Cedar Road Gatehouses can be found in the ‘Policies’ section of this website.

Discounts are offered to siblings of existing students, in conjunction with incentives for early tuition fee payment.
