Student Environment

The Hive in the Preparatory School and The Hub in the College are our media and technology centres. Here the students not only have access to thousands of books, but are also able to participate in programming, virtual reality technology, Minecraft, and Robotics as an integral part of the Technology curriculum. Our teachers incorporate this technology into their lessons at appropriate levels and it forms an integrated part of the curriculum. Those who want to dive into this work of technology at a deeper level can enjoy these programs after school as part of their co-curricular activities.

We are proud to have achieved Microsoft Showcase status in record time and our Robotics and Esports teams have already made their mark in the national competitive environment. 

Our Science Laboratories in both our Preparatory and College are fully equipped with university standard microscopes and an opportunity for students to experiment in a totally practical environment. The College offers specialist IT and Engineering, Graphics and Design classrooms. On the other side of the spectrum, we believe that the arts will always speak to the soul of a society; hence the inclusion of dedicated art, drama, and music rooms as part of our offering.

Productions, concerts and other functions are held in our intimate, state-of-the-art theatre. It seats up to 350 guests and features a generous front of house entertainment area that overlooks the school fields and the Steyn City Parkland Residence. It is equipped with two service bars, a professional sound and lighting room, and spacious dressing and green rooms. Formal functions are held in the Plumari Hall, which also features sophisticated lighting and sound equipment and a well-equipped backstage area. 

Because a full stomach is as critical to learning as an engaged brain, we offer fresh, hot meals in the Canteens situated in the Preparatory School and the College.
