Aftercare - Grades 000 to 3 - Steyn City School

We offer an in-house after school care programme that focuses on educational activities and play. Our Aftercare facility is situated in the Early Years Centre and accommodates students from Grades 000 to 3.

The Aftercare Manager and staff oversee and supervise age-appropriate activities and reading, along with structured play.

Take comfort in knowing that our after school care programme is run by our Aftercare Manager together with our teachers and teacher assistants, whom your children already know and love.

Students involved in co-curricular activities will be escorted to and from the activity by a staff member.

The Aftercare facility will be run and coordinated by the Aftercare Manager, along with Steyn City School employees.
Students who are collected after the closure of Aftercare will remain in the care of the security guards at the waiting area of the Early Years Centre. A late fee penalty of R50.00 per half hour or part thereof will apply for collection of children after 17h30. This will be invoiced to the parent’s/guardian’s account.
Aftercare will be operational for all academic school days.
Parents need to supply a healthy packed lunch and water bottle in a separate aftercare lunch box as well as a sunhat to be kept at Aftercare.
All clothing and belongings need to be clearly labelled.
Meals may be ordered for Aftercare students through the service provider for Steyn City School (currently Mia’s). There is an additional cost for this service. Please note the EYC is a nut free zone. No nuts or nut products are allowed in lunch boxes.
Holiday Care will be offered if the need exists during the school holidays or part thereof, run by the school assistant teachers under the supervision of the Aftercare manager.
Parents/guardians will be notified accordingly. Holiday Care will be billed separately, over and above the Aftercare fees detailed below.
Ad hoc and Holiday club fees are billed at the end of the month or on completion of the holiday period.
Aftercare fees are billed monthly in advance over a 10-month period from February to November.

STEYN CITY SCHOOL CONTRACT OF ENROLMENT

Notwithstanding any of the terms and conditions contained in this agreement, the same terms and conditions contained in the Contract of Enrolment concluded between the Parent/s, Legal Guardian, and Payer with the school, shall apply to this agreement.
