Education at Steyn City School
Our work is to prepare children for a changing world. Our school is academically progressive while holding simple, traditional values. These values include respect, creativity, collaboration, curiosity, agility, and innovation. The skills that align with these values ensure that students are equipped with the competencies they need to find jobs in a world that has changed significantly over the years.

Technology in the classroom is part of all our children’s daily learning. Our EYC students are programming and building on iPads, with Lego, and with robots, while our Preparatory and College students are building and coding robots.
Collaborative problem solving is part of our curriculum and teaches children to work towards finding solutions to real world problems. The role of the teacher has evolved and functions as facilitator, helping students navigate the world of technology, while also teaching them to be safe on online platforms. Students are encouraged to play an active role in their own education and construct their own knowledge as they grow into independent learners.
Our students write the Independent Examinations Board exit examination in Grade 12 and excellent results will allow them to access universities in South Africa and abroad.
